Find clear answers to common questions about my hand-poured soy wax candles, ordering online, ingredients, and delivery across London and the UK.

Everything you need to know

At Max's Candles, I craft clean-burning, plant-based candles designed to bring natural warmth into your home. Here is all the essential information to help you shop with complete confidence.

What are your candles made from?

My candles are made using 100% natural soy wax derived from soybean oil, blended with premium fragrance oils. They are completely free from petroleum-based paraffin and toxic additives.

Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, all Max's Candles are vegan friendly. I do not use any animal products, beeswax, or animal-derived ingredients at any point in my production or testing.

Why should I choose soy wax over paraffin?

Soy wax is a renewable, biodegradable vegetable wax that burns more cleanly than paraffin. It creates up to 90% less soot, ensuring better air quality in your living space.

Are all your candles hand-poured?

Yes, every single candle is hand-poured in small batches in South London to ensure high quality, consistent scent throw, and a clean, even burn.

How are your candles delivered?

I deliver across London and throughout the UK. Online orders are carefully packaged in sustainable materials and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days.

What fragrance oils do you use?

I use high-grade, carefully formulated fragrance oils that provide a rich, room-filling scent while meeting strict safety and environmental standards.

How can I get the best burn from my candle?

For the best performance, allow the wax to melt completely across the top after the first burn and always trim the wick to about 5mm before relighting. You can read our full guide on our Candle care & soy benefits page.

Can I recycle the candle containers?

Yes, our glass containers are fully reusable and recyclable. Once the candle is finished, wash out the remaining soy wax with warm soapy water and repurpose the jar.
